The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

2. General information on data processing

Protecting your personal data is important to me. I process personal data only within the framework of the statutory provisions (GDPR, BDSG, TDDDG). Below I explain which data is collected when you use this website and for what purpose.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. When you visit this website, Vercel processes technical data as a processor (see “Server log files”) in order to deliver the website securely and reliably. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a technically faultless presentation). A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with Vercel. Any transfer to the USA is safeguarded on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

4. Server log files

When the website is accessed, information is automatically collected in so-called server log files that your browser transmits. These are generally:

  • anonymised or shortened IP address
  • date and time of access
  • page / file accessed
  • browser type and operating system used
  • referrer URL (the previously visited page)

This data is not merged with other data sources and is used solely for secure operation and error analysis. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose of collection.

5. Contact form and getting in touch

When you send me a message via the contact form, I process the data you provide (name, email address and your message) in order to handle and respond to your enquiry. Mandatory fields are marked as such.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR insofar as your enquiry relates to the conclusion or performance of a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). You additionally give your consent to the processing by confirming this privacy policy (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

The data is deleted once your enquiry has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

6. Email delivery via Resend

For the technical delivery of messages received through the contact form, I use the service Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) as a processor. The data entered in the form is processed for the purpose of delivery to my email address. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR. A data processing agreement is in place with the provider; the transfer to the USA is safeguarded by EU standard contractual clauses.

7. Fonts (self-hosted)

This website uses the fonts “Fraunces” and “Inter”. They are delivered locally from this website’s server via next/font and are not loaded from an external provider (e.g. Google Fonts). As a result, no personal data is transferred to third parties and no corresponding transfer to a third country takes place.

8. External services: Instagram link and podcast player (Acast)

This website contains a simple link to my Instagram profile. No Instagram content is embedded and no Instagram tracking services are loaded. Only when you actively click the link are you redirected to the platform, for whose data processing the provider (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) is responsible. The Instagram privacy policy then applies.

On the coaching page, an audio interview can be played via the service Acast (Acast AB, Kungsgatan 28, 111 35 Stockholm, Sweden). The player is embedded via a two-click solution: when the page loads, no data is transmitted to Acast. Only when you actively click “Listen to the interview” is the player loaded and a connection to Acast’s servers established; personal data (e.g. IP address) may then be transmitted to Acast. The legal basis is your consent through the active click (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). The Acast privacy policy applies.

9. Cookies and tracking

This website does not set any tracking or marketing cookies and does not integrate any analytics or advertising services. No user-related tracking takes place. A cookie banner is therefore not required.

10. Your rights

With regard to your personal data, you have the following rights:

  • right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • right to withdraw consent given (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)

To exercise your rights, an informal message to the contact details above is sufficient.

11. Right to object

Insofar as your data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to this processing (Art. 21 GDPR).

12. Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data. The competent authority is:

Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit
Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany

13. Validity and changes

This privacy policy is currently valid. As the website develops further or due to changed legal or regulatory requirements, it may become necessary to amend this privacy policy.
